“I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees” -Henry David Thoreau
Mike Robinson is a 12th generation Marylander. The mission of his blog is to celebrate outdoor living and the natural world.
Wherever you are in the world, there is an opportunity to build an outdoor life. Maryland has been called the Land of Pleasant Living and America-in-Miniature for good reason. The state has high mountains, rolling hills, deep forests, bountiful farmland, with creeks and rivers running to the Chesapeake Bay, and it stretches from the Appalachian mountains to the Atlantic coastline. There are endless opportunities for long quiet walks, vigorous hikes, canoeing & kayaking, sailing, fishing, biking, hunting and other outdoor activities. You will spend a lifetime exploring all the locations available for outdoor adventures.
